The spaceAs a nearly 200-year-old treasure, the home has modern amenities, but some function in years past. There is one space on the first floor set up as a traditional "primary modern" bedroom with ensuite and office/nursery space. Downstairs you'll also find the formal dining + parlor + sunroom. The second floor boasts "Gone with the Wind" vibes with historic treasured pieces and three additional bedrooms (luxury white linens of course!).
Guest accessWhen you stay as our guest, you will have access to the ENTIRE HOME (with a respected 'no-fly zone' upstairs over the Sunroom). The grounds also make for a relaxing day outside on the patio overlooking the greenspace.
Additional notesPlease have grace for this Sumner County Museum piece of history! With your stay, you're enabling major updates to the home and allowing basic maintenance requirements all while keeping the historic integrity of this house. The primary bedroom and greenroom are the only rooms with tv’s. The original part of the home and upstairs bedrooms do not have televisions. Also note, the 2nd bathroom on the main level is more of a half bath. There is a small shower, but most prefer not to use it due to its size. Prior to hosting guests, the home remained vacant for several years -- we are thankful to you for enjoying the home keeping the history alive!
*Renovations scheduled throughout 2024.
